Blue Steel, LLC. …….. a young company with a lot of history!
Blue Steel LLC was formed in mid 2004 as an exclusive joint partnership between Faber Industries in Italy and Kaplan Industries headquartered in Maple Shade New Jersey. Their primary objective was to establish a viable sales and marketing arm through which Faber steel scuba cylinders would be marketed in North and South America as well as Central America.
The successful relationship between Kaplan Industries and Faber however started over 20 years ago when Kaplan Industries began to source industrial cylinders from Faber. Kaplan Industries has been serving the beverage, industrial gas and medical industry with compressed gas cylinders and equipment for over 50 years. It has grown from a small facility originally located in Philadelphia to operating three manufacturing facilities nationwide with joint ventures globally. With a focus on service and quality through old-fashioned values and workmanship Kaplan Industries has become an industry leader worldwide in serving these markets.
Faber Industries, established in 1972, has grown rapidly to become the leader in the production of seamless steel high pressure cylinders for the storage of gases. Earning a reputation for its high standard of quality and ability to comply with the most stringent international and local industry standards, Faber has become a leading global supplier in over five continents serving the natural gas vehicle market, industrial, medical, beverage, fire fighting and most important to us, the Scuba Diving industry.
With over 80 years of combined successful backgrounds and a commitment to service and quality, it was only natural that Kaplan Industries and Faber Industries would utilize their synergies and long term business relationship to develop a company dedicated to serving the scuba industry.
From this strong foundation and focus on customer satisfaction and quality, the establishment of stocking facilities on both the East and West coast and developing a reliable Dealer network nationwide, Blue Steel LLC combined with the recognized Faber name in scuba cylinders, like its founders will establish itself as a leader in servicing the dive market.
